About Me
This website uses AI to analyze food images and estimate their glycemic index (GI). It's not perfectly accurate — It's meant to be a helpful reference, not a medical tool.
My motivation is personal. Someone in my family has prediabetes, which runs in our genes. By the time we noticed the issue, her blood sugar levels were already abnormal. Since she hadn't reached the diabetes threshold, the doctor advised her to manage it through diet. But she was tired of rigid diet plans and nutrition lectures.
I wanted to find a simple, intuitive way to understand which foods might have a higher or lower GI value — and that's how aigifood.com was created. As I said, it's not perfectly precise, but it can serve as a useful guide.
My hope is that while helping my family, I can also help others. That's why aigifood.com is almost entirely free — you can earn points just by checking in daily or sharing on X (formerly Twitter).
By the way, I'll also be posting what I've learned about blood sugar and diabetes on my blog — https://aigifood.com/blog. You can take a look if you're curious.
